ESSAY CONTEST
Con Edison is sponsoring an essay contest for students
attending the Pathway to Careers Conference on April
21, 2007.

or fax to 212-566-2536. Make sure you include your
name, high school, phone number, and email address.
• First Prize: Two students will
receive a $75.00 gift certificate.
• Second Prize: Two students will
receive a $50.00 gift certificate.
Con Edison has a longstanding goal of achieving
environmental excellence. The company supports organizations
that share the company's concern for preserving and protecting
the environment through conservation and beautification
projects as well as through educational and career-development
programs. We recognize the importance of work keyed to
conservancy, recycling, reclamation efforts, and mitigation
of pollution.
We have heard a lot about global warming and the negative
impact that it is having on our environment.
Reflecting on how you may be contributing to this problem
on a daily basis, write an essay of 300 words or less,
telling us your views on global warming, and how you can
personally make changes in your habits that will positively
impact our environment and diminish the effects of global
warming.
