Scholarships
Scholarship Name Merit-Based Scholarships/Coronat Scholarship
Web Site
Application Deadline Tuesday January 1, 2008
Description All completed applications for admission to Syracuse University will automatically be evaluated for a merit-based scholarship. No separate application is required.

Merit based-scholarships are based solely on the criteria we have at the time of application. Many factors are considered including course selection and performance, extracurricular activities, interviews, recommendations, portfolio/audition results (when required), and more. There are no specific "numbers" required to obtain a merit-based scholarship as the applicant pool changes with every year, thus determining the level of competitiveness for these scholarships.

Merit-based scholarships are awarded to entering first-year students in the form of Founders' Scholarships, Chancellor's Scholarships, and Dean's Scholarships.

Syracuse University also awards merit-based scholarships to entering transfer students in the form of Chancellor's Scholarships and Dean's Scholarships.

For more information on schlarships visit http://financialaid.syr.edu/scholarships.htm

Completed applications for admission to The College of Arts and Sciences (single, dual or combined enrollment) will be considered for the Coronat Scholarship, a highly competitive opportunity for students with outstanding intellectual curiosity, accomplishment, and courage, who are committed to serving others. It offers a full scholarship to The College of Arts and Sciences (tuition and fees, housing and meals, transportation, textbooks and materials).
