Comprehensive University Visit

If you can only visit once, come to "Spring Preview," our open house for admitted students on April 16-17, 2016. The president will welcome you. There's a big "fair," where our faculty, staff and students can tell you more about our majors, services, and student organizations. Professors present mock classes and other academic presentations. You can see all our freshmen dorms. And, of course, our ambassadors will show you around the whole campus.  

We're working on the schedule for 2016, which will be very similar to the 2015 schedule listed below for your reference. To register for Spring Preview 2016, click on the event name below.

We strongly recommend taking one of the "early" or "final" tours since there are many activities that overlap in the afternoon. Also, try to stay for the student panels at 3 p.m., which past survey responses describe as the "most beneficial portion" and "favorite part of the day." Please plan your arrival and departure accordingly.

Description

 Scholarships are awarded to those who are admitted and qualify. No additional application is necessary. Students who strive to create a strong application for admission and award consideration.

The following aid comes from Fordham's own resources and is offered to full-time traditional undergraduate students to augment aid from all other sources. Unless aid is specifically identified as a room award, all Fordham aid whether scholarship, grant or a remission of tuition, is a discount of tuition charges and is applicable only to Fordham tuition charges.

The total of all tuition-specific aid, internal and external, may not exceed Fordham's tuition charges. Aid is awarded for a maximum of 8 academic year undergraduate semesters (fall and spring).

Application Process All aid requires satisfactory academic progress, the annual filing of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and compliance with other University policies and the University code of conduct. Students must file for Financial Aid before the University's published filing deadlines to ensure the availability of funds.

Description

Freshman, Performance, & International Freshman

There are several application plans that you can use to apply to Fordham University. These plans include Early Action, Early Decision, Priority Performance, and Regular Decision. Descriptions of each of these plans and a chart containing their deadlines can be found below:

We understand that some ACT scores may be delayed. We will be as flexible as possible with the late submissions of scores during this period. Should we not receive and expected score by our December 1 review deadline, we will defer the application until all material can be appropriately considered.

Please note: Fordham has extended its EA, ED and Priority Performance Deadline to November 8th!

Early Action

In Early Action, students apply early and receive a decision well in advance of the University's regular response date. Early action is a non-binding (students are not required to enroll if admitted) application plan. Our deadline is November 8.Decisions will be received by December 20.

Early Decision

In Early Decision, students make a commitment to a first-choice institution where, if admitted, they will definitely enroll. Early decision is a binding (students must enroll if admitted and withdraw any other pending applications) application plan. Our deadline is November 8. Decisions will be received byDecember 20.

*Priority Performance

Students who are applying to Fordham's BFA Program inDance and BA Program in Theatre must apply under this application plan. Priority Performance has the same deadline as our Early Action and Early Decision plans (November 8).  Please refer to individual program pages for additional application and audition requirements. Decisions are released on a rolling basis after February 1, and all decisions are received by April 1.

Regular Decision

In Regular Decision, students submit an application by a specified date and receive a decision in a clearly stated period of time, typically no later than April 1. Regular decision is anon-binding application plan. Our deadline is January 1.

Transfer, Performance, & International Transfer Students

Students can apply to transfer for either the Fall or Spring Semesters.  The following are the deadline dates for those programs.  Please note, performance programs have additional requirements.

Spring Semester Admission

Deadline is November 1. Decisions are released on a rolling basis after October 1.
