Brown University and the Marine Biological Laboratory
at Woods Hole, Mass., have established a formal institutional
affiliation that supports the joint programs of education
and research in biology, biomedicine and environmental

Brown University's Brain Science Program (BSP) is a
unique interdisciplinary program formed to tackle one
of the greatest mysteries of man. Brown is a leader
this area and offers exceptional training and coursework
for those interested in pursuing careers in Brain Science.
The scale of this program is impressive. It includes
more than 90 faculty and hundreds of students at the
undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral level. It includes
11 departments: in the life sciences- Biology &
Medicine, Clinical Neuroscience, Cognitive and Linguistic
Science, Neuroscience, Psychiatry & Human Behavior,
and Psychology; in the physical sciences- Applied Mathematics,
Computer Science, Engineering, Philosophy, and Physics.

The Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME), an eight-year
combined BA/BS-MD program for 60 students per year. The
PLME offers a unique opportunity to join undergraduate
and professional studies in medicine in a single eight-year

agreements with seven hospitals; there is no University-owned
