CFS-ASOC Consumer and Family Science Able
Students of Color
This four day program (during the month of June) introduces
high school students to each area within the departments
of CFS through lectures and hands-on activities. These
areas include dietetics, foods and nutrition in business;
food science; nutrition; fitness and health; nutrition
science; consumer education and occupational education;
and a host of business-related courses. This program
serves to enlighten students with regard to career opportunities
in the School of Consumer and Family Sciences at Purdue.
There will be a minimal amount of social activities,
a campus tour, and speakers from the Corporate Adoption
Program.
Prerequisites:
Must be a high school junior or senior ranking in the
upper 25% of the class.
Program Date:
Mid June
Fee (in 2001):
Meals and board are at no cost to the students, however
there is a non-refundable pre-registration fee.
