Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS)
PROMYS is a challenging program designed to encourage ambitious high school students to explore the creative world of mathematics. Each summer, approximately 60 students from around the country gather on the campus of Boston University for six weeks of rigorous mathematical activity. Any high school student may apply. Admissions decision will be based on the following criteria: applicants' solutions to set of challenging problems included with the application packet; teacher recommendations, high school transcripts; and student essays explaining their interest in the program. For more information, visit the PROMYS home page at http://math.bu.edu/INDIVIDUAL/promys/.
