Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists
(PROMYS)
PROMYS is a challenging program designed to encourage
ambitious high school students to explore the creative
world of mathematics. Each summer, approximately 60
students from around the country gather on the campus
of Boston University for six weeks of rigorous mathematical
activity. Any high school student may apply. Admissions
decision will be based on the following criteria: applicants'
solutions to set of challenging problems included with
the application packet; teacher recommendations, high
school transcripts; and student essays explaining their
interest in the program. For more information, visit
