Seven Year Medical School Programs

"I mostly am interested in a school that has a 7 yr- medical program, or a program that allows for the bypass of the MCAT. I am interested in studying pre-medicine, and I wish to study obstetrics and gynecology in graduate/med school. I would also like to attend a school that is outside of New York, or even far upstate NY, but within nearly 5 or less hours from New York."

From University of South Florida:

For students interested in studying medicine, the University of South Florida (USF) would be a wonderful university to attend. We have three hospitals on our campus. We have the Moffitt Cancer Center, the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and the Veteran’s Hospital, in which these students can volunteer their time there to gain additional experience outside of the classroom. In addition to the hospitals on our campus, USF also has a seven year medical program through our Honors College. This is an accelerated program in which the student can complete their bachelor’s degree and medical school within seven years. To be a part of this accelerated program, the student needs to be admitted into the Honors College and then pass an interview process with the Director of the Medical School Program. For more information about this seven year accelerated track, please feel free to contact the Honors College at (813)974-3087, and to view their website at
http://isis2.admin.usf.edu/honors/ap_med.html.

If you have any further questions about USF, please feel free to contact us at 1-877-USF-BULL, and a representative will be more than happy to assist you. Good Luck and GO BULLS!
