Resources
for Pre-Ventures Scholars |
To become a Ventures
Scholar, your brothers and sisters need to begin preparing
as early as elementary school. Remember, a student's
academic ability will be a major factor in becoming
a Ventures Scholar.
The Ventures
Scholars Program is providing resources that you can
use to make sure your younger brothers and sisters access
resources that can help them excel in elementary and
intermediate school. Point them to some of these
Web sites so they can use these on-line resources.
Your brothers
and sisters should:
- develop good study habits,
- think about careers and begin exploring careers
fields,
- keep up good grades and take challenging courses,
- get involved with activities that are either inside
or outside of school,
- ask for help with classwork or homework,
- start thinking about high school and college, and
- know the difference between requirements for graduation
from high school and admissions into a selective college/university.
If you have any questions or would like to provide
us with helpful Web sites, please email webmaster@ventures.org.
