Recently, one of the undergraduate Ventures Scholars inquired about the Ventures Scholars Program listserv. She commented that she enjoyed helping high school Ventures Scholars on the high school listserv, but would also like to see more interaction with undergraduate Ventures Scholars on the undergraduate listserv. Therefore, at your earliest convenience, take a few minutes and log into the listserv program. Go to www.venturescholar.org/login and enter your username and password. (If you do not know your username or password, click on the 'Forgot Your Username or Password?' link to have it emailed to you.) After you have logged in, scroll to the bottom of the page and follow the instructions. You can ask Ventures Scholars about coursework, graduate/professional school and more!

The Multicultural Engineering Program sponsors monthly mentoring lunches and advisory committee activities, along with networking opportunities with the Black Graduate Student Association, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Office of Graduate Educational Equity, help students to become a stronger part of the College community.

Importance of Internships  

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers Job Outlook 2003 for the Class of 2003 survey, employers said that of their hires from the class of 2003, they converted 32% of their interns to full-time employees. Employers also report that approximately 54% of their new hires in 2003 had internship experience.
